Polytheism says it is not a matter of 'and' rather than 'or' often with the added philosophic caveat of not demanding sacrifice of one being for the sake of another. Intolerance is a product of monotheism as it is explained - one way - my way. Been reading a lot of history of philosophy lately back in the day they would term it 'heresy' when their orthodoxy was threatened and kill you and maybe even worse. 'He who speaks the truth should have one foot in the stirrup or make it funny' in this world of overly sensitive, insecure people.
